Looking for the all-time best family movies? Whether you’re in the mood for the classics, this year’s blockbusters, or seasonal faves, I’ve got a list for you!
When the rain starts pouring, the holidays hit, or you’re just in the mood to have a slumber party in the living room, there’s nothing like a family movie night to create great memories.
Once I had kids and they started sitting still long enough to watch a movie, I went searching for the all-time best family movies so I could make a list of them all.
I didn’t want to just stick with what’s out now because the oldies were just SO good (Sandlot, anyone?!) so the list includes movies from the good ol’ days to today.
I also made sure they were rated well—just because it’s meant to be seen with families, doesn’t mean that it’s actually any good. I don’t want to waste anyone’s movie night with an “eh” movie.
So all the movies all have at least a 80% Rotten Tomatoes score – and I ranked them by their scores too. (Note that I DID make a few exceptions for movies that I had to add to the list but weren’t rated 80%, I call them out.)
Now, get your popcorn in the microwave and take a look at this list of the all-time best family movies.
Key Takeaways
